Hi Everyone,
Wow, what a year it’s been! Thank you for your support throughout 2022! We have some exciting news about Powerjam (your Richmond/Twickenham-based not-for-profit rock & pop band project for 9-18 year olds) that we’d love to share with you!

Powerjam band, ‘Nobody for President’ in NYC 2022!
Powerjam selected AGAIN to represent the UK in New York City in 2023!
Powerjam has been invited back for a second year in a row to represent the UK at ‘Come Together’ International teen band festival held in New York City! Last year the festival was spotlighted on the USA hit TV show ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, and the 2023 edition will feature bands from even more countries around the world. We’re incredibly honoured to be a part of this amazing event again, raising money for Children in dire need through charities such as Unicef and KidSave. Check out our YouTube video of the awesome experience our members had in NYC last year! https://youtu.be/1lgKjpdn0c0
Powerjam has offered 55 stage opportunities to members in the past year! Over the past year, on top of our weekly band rehearsals, we’ve offered and organised 55 performance opportunities to our bands at Powerjam on over 22 festival and event stages in the community and beyond. Our bands also performed on prestigious stages such as Bush Hall (where Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Nirvana once performed) and Ealing Blues Festival (where we have been invited for a 2nd year in a row to participate in 2023!). We have another busy and exciting year ahead! Follow Powerjam for 2023 gig updates: https://linktr.ee/powerjam

Richmond’s Civic Pride Award 2022 recognising Powerjam’s contribution to the community
Recognising the quality entertainment that our young and well-rehearsed bands provide throughout Richmond borough on a number of event stages, we were honoured to receive the Richmond’s Civic Pride Award 2022, which, along with our volunteer work, helped us to continue our mission to increase the self confidence in our musical young people through performance.
Monat Gratitude Award 2022 recognising Powerjam’s 8 years of support to Disadvantaged musical teens and tweens
We are also honoured and grateful to have received the Monat Gratitude award that recognises the success of our disadvantaged member program since the founding of Powerjam 8 years ago. Year after year, with equal opportunities and support, we have successfully included disadvantaged musical young people into our bands to ensure music education is accessible to all socio-economic backgrounds. Whilst also taking age, genre, and skill sets into consideration when forming and producing young bands, we have proven that music-making transcends boundaries, and that mixing socio-economic backgrounds is both inspiring and educational, and enhances creativity. Members learn to work together towards a common goal, and learn invaluable life lessons.
300,000+ streams on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube
Since 2020, over 300,000 streams to date have been achieved across all platforms this past year of the original songs produced by and released through our Powerjam Recordings label, which allows our young musicians to retain full copyrights to their songs. Their music has been played on various radio stations including BBC Radio 6 and Riverside Radio!
